As mighty redwoods grow tall, their roots intertwine under the forest floor where they communicate with each other, share resources with new saplings, and protect each other from fire and disease. So it is with the Children of God, who build strong networks of love and service in the Church. When we take stock of all that we have around us, we realize that we are Rooted in Abundance.
They shall be like a tree planted by water, sending out its roots by the stream. It shall not fear when heat comes, and its leaves shall stay green; in the year of drought it is not anxious, and it does not cease to bear fruit. Jeremiah 17:8
